The suburbs we cover
We install across Ferndale, Blairgowrie, Fontainebleau, Windsor, Robindale, Linden, Jukskei Park, Bordeaux and Kensington B. Patio Projex works across Gauteng and every system is manufactured to your measurements in South Africa. The Johannesburg awnings page has the city-wide picture.
We have completed and photographed work in Randpark Ridge, Northriding, Olivedale and Fairlands — each one written up in full among our case studies.
Established homes, established gardens
Randburg is largely older housing stock on generous plots with mature trees — a different starting point to a new-build estate. Patios here tend to already exist in some form: a slab, a pergola that no longer keeps rain out, or a lean-to that dates the house. The work is usually upgrading rather than starting from scratch.
That favours two things. An insulated patio ceiling gives an old slab a properly finished soffit with double-roof rain protection, and can take downlights and fans so the space stops being a passage and becomes a room. An adjustable louvre roof does the opposite job — where mature trees already shade the patio in summer, being able to open the blades for winter sun matters more than adding more cover.
- Insulated patio ceilings — waterproof, insulated, with downlights, fans or skylights
- Adjustable louvres — manual gearbox or automated, for shade you can dial up and down
- Replacing tired pergolas — a custom aluminium system on the existing footprint
- Hinge doors and casement windows — the most standard, most affordable way to close a space in
Working with what's already there
Fitting to an existing structure is a measuring problem more than a manufacturing one — old slabs are rarely square and older brickwork isn't always plumb. Because we manufacture to your dimensions rather than supplying stock sizes, awkward openings are normal work. We confirm every measurement on site before anything is made.
Getting a Randburg quote
A photo of the existing patio plus rough width, projection and height is enough to start. Tell us whether you want to keep the current footprint or extend it. Quotes cover the aluminium specification and its 15-year guarantee, colour and any extras like lighting or fans.
