The suburbs we cover
We install across Benoni, Northmead, Rynfield, Farrarmere, Lakefield, Boksburg, Kempton Park, Brakpan and Springs. Patio Projex works across Gauteng and manufactures every system to your measurements in South Africa. Our Johannesburg awnings page covers greater Johannesburg, the East Rand included.
We have completed and photographed work in Germiston— written up in full among our case studies.
A real track record here
In Benoni we have two jobs on record: a charcoal insulated ceiling, and a white louvre fitted with downlights for evening entertaining. Between them they cover the two decisions most East Rand clients are weighing: whether to seal the patio into a room, or keep a roof you can open.
The charcoal ceiling is worth noting for finish rather than function. Charcoal is the most forgiving of our four colours against the mixed palettes of established East Rand housing — darker than white, softer than black, and it doesn't date the way a strong colour choice can.
- Insulated patio ceilings — seamless interior finish, insulated against summer heat
- Adjustable louvres — charcoal, black, bronze or white, manual or automated
- Louvres with downlights — for patios that get used after dark as much as during the day
- Full enclosures — stack folding and sliding systems with shatterproof glass
Storms and guttering
The East Rand takes hard summer storms, and guttering is where a patio roof is won or lost. Every awning we build has a full all-round gutter, with the downpipe outlets placed on site, so water is routed deliberately instead of sheeting off an edge onto the paving. Our louvre systems are 95% watertight when closed, and every aluminium system carries a 15-year guarantee.
Getting a Benoni quote
A photo of the area with rough width, projection and height is all we need to start. Tell us whether the patio needs to work in the evenings — it changes whether we're specifying downlights and where they go. Everything is confirmed on site before manufacture.
